Total Coliform & E Coli Testing


The City of Marietta provides water testing for people not on a public water system. This includes people who get their water from wells, cisterns, springs, etc.

People wanting this service should call 740-374-6864 and make an appointment with the lab. They will be provided with a sample bottle, sample instructions and well disinfecting procedures, if needed.

Results of the water samples will be available after 24 hours of the water sample received in our lab. No testing will be done if proper container is not used. There is a charge of $30.00 for water samples received Monday thru Thursday. Water samples received on Fridays will be charged $30.00 plus overtime rate. Please call our Lab Bacteriologist before submitting water samples at 740-374-6864. The City of Marietta provides this service at a break-even cost.

If you have any questions or concerns, our Lab Bacteriologist may be reached Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
