AGENDA

Legislation prepared for introduction at the Marietta City Council meeting scheduled to be held on October 1, 2020.
ORDINANCES

1. Ordinance No. 120 (20-21) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to enter into Change Order No. 2 to the present Contract No. 33-17, between the City of Marietta, Ohio and Pickering Associates, for necessary changes to the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Phase 3 and Scope 4 Project at a total cost of $39,200.00 and declaring an EMERGENCY.
2. Ordinance No. 121 (20-21) An Ordinance to authorize and direct the director of Public Safety and Service to enter into a contract or contracts with BL Anderson Company, Inc. of West Chester, Ohio for the Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant Telemetry System Replacement Project, at a cost not to exceed $109,220.00 and declaring an EMERGENCY.
3. Ordinance No. 122 (20-21) An Ordinance to find and determine that a 1995 International 4900 Bucket Truck owned by the City of Marietta, Ohio, and used by the Streets Department, is personal property not needed for any municipal purpose and to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to advertise for bids and enter into a contract for the sale thereof pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 721.15(D), and declaring an EMERGENCY.
4. Ordinance No. 123 (20-21) An Ordinance to find and determine that a HMI Hydraulic Slab Jacking Trailer System Model 8CFMMT owned by the City of Marietta, Ohio, and used by the Streets Department, is personal property not needed for any municipal purpose and to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to advertise for bids and enter into a contract for the sale thereof pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 721.15(D), and declaring an EMERGENCY.
5. Ordinance No. 124 (20-21) An Ordinance to appropriate and transfer funds.
6. Ordinance No. 125 (20-21) An Ordinance to appropriate and transfer funds.
7. Ordinance No. 126 (20-21) An Ordinance to create the position of Legal Secretary/VIP Assistant in the Law Director’s Office of the City of Marietta, Ohio, and to designate the duties therefor, and to establish the salary thereof, and to amend Exhibit A to Ordinance No. 206 (18-19) passed May 16, 2019, to reflect the creation of said position in the Law Director’s Office and declaring an EMERGENCY.
8. Ordinance No. 127 (20-21) An Ordinance to vacate a portion of Jefferson Street and a portion of the Alleys of Block 119 East Marietta Addition and Subdivision in the City of Marietta, Ohio.



RESOLUTIONS

1. Resolution No. 48 (20-21) A Resolution to express the appreciation of the Marietta City Council to Roy D. Kampmeier, for his service to the citizens of the citizens of the City of Marietta, Ohio, as an employee of the Police Department.
2. Resolution No. 49 (20-21) A Resolution to express the appreciation of the Marietta City Council to Mary J. Grubert, for her service to the citizens of the citizens of the City of Marietta, Ohio, as Clerk in the Mayor’s Office.
3. Resolution No. 50 (20-21) A Resolution to adopt and approve the 2021 Community Development Block Grant Program Proposed Use Budget for the City of Marietta, Ohio.
4. Resolution No. 51 (20-21) A Resolution to authorize and direct the Director of Public Safety and Service to apply, on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to the Ohio Public Works Commission, for an emergency grant for funds for the Lancaster Street Slip Repair Project, to authorize the execution of additional agreements as required; to obligate the necessary matching funds from the City if the grant is approved; and declaring an EMERGENCY.
5. Resolution No. 52 (20-21) A Resolution to authorize and direct the Mayor to apply, on behalf of the City of Marietta, Ohio, to the Ohio Public Works Commission for total funding of $400,000.00 for the 2021 Asphalt Resurfacing Project; and to obligate the necessary matching funds from the City if funding is approved, and declaring an EMERGENCY.
