The Marietta Fire Department proudly protects 14,027 people living in an area of 11 square miles. We are staffed by 34 Firefighter/EMT/Hazardous Materials Technicians, and 1 Clerk. Many of our personnel have achieved highermfd levels of certification through additional training.

There are three shifts of 10 personnel which respond to over 3,000 calls for help each year. We provide many services to the people of our community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We maintain an ISO rating of 4.

Some of the services we provide are: fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous material response, fire inspection and permit issuance, code enforcement, fire prevention education, confined space entry, fire investigation, river fire and rescue operations.

It is the policy of this department to provide the best possible level of service to our community. When a call for help or assistance is received, we will respond and render whatever assistance is necessary. This department is charged with the protection of our community and its citizens from fire and other disasters, providing emergency medical care, fire prevention, and public education. It is our responsibility as a group, and as individuals to maintain our equipment and ourselves to meet any challenge. These responsibilities will be met. Each member of the group will be able to perform the required skills, so the best customer service possible is provided.
