Career Opportunities
The Marietta Fire Department conducts a civil service entrance exam for the position of firefighter approximately every two years. Applicant's that successfully complete both written and physical exams will be placed on a list, that by Civil Service law and Ohio Revised Code, will be the list used to hire applicants for a two year period. Applicants must be between the ages of 18-40, per Ohio Revised Code, to be eligible to receive original appointment to the fire department. Physical agility test information can be located below.
