The purpose of the Development Department is to coordinate partnerships with community groups, pursue grant funding for city projects, and administer the Community Development Block Grant.

The Development Department also offers Housing Programs to income eligible homeowners. The funding comes from U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. These programs provide health and safety services for low-income Marietta resident's homes.

PUBLIC NOTICEThe Marietta 2023 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) will be available for public review and comment for fifteen days, starting March 13, 2024. It will be available online and also in hard copy in the City of Marietta Department of Community Development Office, 304 Putnam St., Marietta, OH 45750. This report details the activities supported through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the period of 1/1/2023 through 12/31/2023. Written comments should be submitted to the City Development Office at the above address or through email to amandaclark@mariettaoh.net or geoffschenkel@mariettaoh.net no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 28, 2024.
